So how do we find new owners?
Obviosuly a vast percentage of the supporter base want the current incompetents and shysters removed forthwith, but as Ashley at Newcastle is showing, even when an owner wants out finding worthwhile new owners is easier said than done.

So how do we find new owners that would both invest their hard earned, and have the success of the club as their overriding objectives?

A quick search of famous West Ham fans suggetss there are some famous followers, but none (the queen aside) you'd consider in the super-rich camp.

Unless there is a wholesale wage cap its spinning out of reality financially.

Would have to be a Billionaire with deep pockets and a liking to spend their money not a cooperative

Re: So how do we find new owners?
Buying in is a nice dream but totally unrealistic.

Funding a club like this is way beyond our financial clout. To be honest, half the problem is it's already way beyond the Daves' financial clout as well. I reckon they have given up running now and are slowly but surely cashing their chips in.

The cost of buying decent players, managing them, keeping them fit, paying vast ever increasing sums in wages, and supporting the massive costs of infrastructure, means you need owners who are very incredibly wealthy, and able to re-fund constantly to cope with the inflationary aspects of running the club.

Only Man City have gone to there and not completely lost themselves in the mix.

Ho hum...

Another thought: if the WHU wheels REALLY come off, the OS is going to become WAY too big for us. What then..? It's a merry mess...

Mex - Thanks to the board and their supporters we’re a soulless poor club.

Would prefer to be a soulless rich club I think.

Re: So how do we find new owners?
I think they absolutely want to sell, they’ve shown every sign of wanting to cash out rather than invest in taking the club forward. But who in their right mind would invest? We’re fast becoming a toxic asset. We don’t have a ground we own, rather a 99 year lease on an athletics stadium, add to that possibility of championship football and a squad stripped of its finest players (once they’ve been sold off) yet the current owners will still demand top $.

We could start with a low-ball offer of 23.4 million, 5 grand upfront?

Or would he not like those same "tactics" being used on him?

Re: So how do we find new owners?
The owners making it clear the club is up for sale would be a good start.

However you just know they'll over value it and be difficult to deal with.

Re: So how do we find new owners?
The only owner change I want is a members take over go be run like FC Barcelona
I do not want some rich Arab or Russian that wants as some kind of play thing and would take us to the next level of soleless rich club, I really do like the way Chelsea and Man City bought success and ruined competition

Re: So how do we find new owners?
I wish that I could invest more but I don't want to give-up on nice holidays, nights out, boozing etc. as well. I'm a selfish cunt like that.

Still, nothing has been arranged yet. If this Real West Ham Group ever goes down this path in the future then I'd definitely stick a few grand down.

Re: So how do we find new owners?
If fans (tens and tens of thousands of fans) mounted an offer to buy a percentage of the club then I'd be willing to invest at least £1k-£5k for a miniscule stake. That's probably the most that I could invest though. Some of our richer fans could stick down a lot, lot more.

It would be great if our fans owned a significant percentage of the club.

I think the American that bought the Icelandic's 10% is probably a good starting point but I think GSB will be a little more considerate after the protests...
